Sportsbook operators can apply for licensing within the frameworks that these states have established. To date, theScore Bet is operating in Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, and New Jersey, with plans to expand into additional states soon, pending receipt of required licenses and approvals.
Score Media and Gaming Inc. announced Thursday that they have officially launched theScore Bet in one of the most bet-friendly states in the US – Indiana. The Hoosier State becomes the third such state to welcome theScore’s award-winning mobile sportsbook along with Colorado that recently welcomed theScore Bet and New Jersey where it has been live for some time.
theScore has been active lately signing partnership deals and expanding their US presence. It was last month that the app went live in Colorado and a month before that the sports betting provider signed on to be Authorized Gaming Operator of Major League Baseball. Their media/sports betting platform has been a success in every market that they have entered and figure to be in the exciting Indiana market as well.
“This launch comes just weeks after we introduced theScore Bet to fans in Colorado, a huge testament to the best-in-class technology, multi-state infrastructure, and product development team supporting our ongoing expansion,” said John Levy, Founder and CEO of theScore. “Indiana is the first state we’ve launched in under our multi-state market access agreement with Penn National Gaming and we’re excited to showcase our incredible and unique combination of media and gaming to this passionate fan base.”
FUSE
There is definitely a lot of direct competition in the US legal sports betting market but theScore is attempting to carve out its own unique path.
Their FUSE platform allows for a “faster and tighter navigation” between theScore Bet and theScore’s main sports app so users are able to access theScore’s top-tier media wing, which offers data, stats and content for upcoming games and theScore Bet simultaneously.
Simply put, FUSE allows for an easy marriage between media and betting. Founder and CEO of theScore John Levy said: “The launch of theScore Bet revolutionized the integration of sports betting and media, and the introduction of FUSE takes it to another level. We’ve created an unparalleled cross-platform media and betting experience, getting sports fans into the action faster than ever. Our goal is to continue to surpass sports fans’ expectations while leading the way for media in the sports betting industry. And with FUSE, we’re only getting started.”
Last month, theScore Bet was named Best Online Mobile Sports Betting Experience at the Cynopsis Sports Media Awards, partly because of their FUSE technology.
theScore Bet’s Relationships Thrust Them Into Indiana
It was a previously announced multi-state market access framework agreement with Penn National Gaming that nudged theScore Bet toward the Indiana market. Without Penn National, the relatively small sportsbook may not have even been considered for an Indiana launch, despite boasting one of the more complete, impressive overall platforms in the industry.
Bet.Works’ sportsbook platform technology will also be involved in the launch, building on a pre-existing relationship theScore has had with tech company since 2018. Bet.Works will take control of customer service calls compliance support, risk and trading services and provide industry-best technological advances to the sports betting provider.
theScore was able to leverage their preexisting relationships to an Indiana launch that may or may not happened so quickly without the backing of such high-end partners. With a foothold in three major US legal betting states, theScore Bet now has a serious industry legitimacy in the growing US l space.
